Hudson Bay Tomahawk
Hudson Bay Tomahawk forged by stamping. Cold Steel® high-quality tomahawks are precisely forged from 1055 high-carbon steel. The stamping process offers many distinct advantages for impact tool production, especially those requiring a sharp edge. By using a series of progressive dies attached to high-power hammers, the steel is kneaded and compressed into a completely homogeneous mass, creating a very uniform grain structure and minimizing imperfections.
All Cold Steel® Tomahawks are also differentially heat-treated, with a sharp edge and a hammer face that is fully hardened to take a sharp edge, while the body of the blade remains soft to absorb impact and shock from blows. The American Tomahawk Company® is a registered trademark and division of Cold Steel®, Inc.

Almost all war axes that you can buy on the market today can trace their roots back to the Hudson Bay axe used for centuries in the vast forests and swamps of northeastern Canada. Famous for its versatility and effectiveness, the Hudson Bay axe became essential for anyone trying to make a living in the wilderness.
The Cold Steel® team is also a great admirer of this famous axe pattern and decided to scale it up to the tomahawk format. Forged from 1055 high-carbon steel, like all Cold Steel® cold-forged hawks, it offers approximately 9 cm of classic-shaped edge, as well as a substantial 'nape' that can be used for striking, crushing, and hammering. It can even drive nails and spikes, as it is also, like the blade, differentially hardened. Equipped with a straight-grain American walnut handle, it is ready for a life in the woods and, in case of emergency, can also double as a terribly effective weapon.
