The blade is made of 420J2 stainless steel, sharpened like a razor for excellent corrosion resistance, which is always important for use in a humid environment. The steel is also quite durable and easy to re-sharpen. Additionally, it offers just the right amount of flexibility to facilitate filleting and preserve the delicate meat and flavor of the product. The handle is made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon for increased durability and features a rubber overmold with Kershaw's exclusive K-Texture™ grip. The K-Texture™ pattern ensures you always have a secure hold, even in slippery conditions. For easy storage, the 9-inch curved knife with K-Texture™ includes a blade guard.
